Sister to Nun

In 1880 the Temperance Hall in Hulme, Manchester became infamous as the site of a cross-dressing ball where attendees gave the password “sister” to the “nun” watching the door. When the police raided it 47 people were arrested, all dressed “in most fantastic fashion.”

A light-bodied pale ale with a smooth, easy drinking, slightly sweet malty body and a good hoppy aroma, brewed to challenge traditional thinking.
